God's Love

Psalms 23:1

The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want.

This verse says it all. We say this all the time, but a lot of times, we fail to understand the power or the real meaning behind these. As I was praying a couple of days ago, I got this reading and when I meditated more on these words, what a beautiful insight God gave me into these words.

Now that I’m a father of an 18-month-old baby, a lot of times I’ve wondered about the way my wife takes care of the baby. Some how she knows when the baby is hungry, when she’s sick, even the exact time when she’s going to pee or poop. Every little thing that the baby needs, my wife is able to understand and take care of her.
Some of us would say, come on its basic mathematics, to figure out the needs of the baby. But I disagree; it takes more than logical thinking. It takes a mother to understand.

God reminded me this, as I was meditating on the scripture. He said well, this is how my love for you works. If a mom is able to understand the needs and takes care of the baby, even before it could ask for it. I created you, do I not know your needs. As simple as that, I really don’t think that I have to explain this more in detail. It is understood.

“The Lord is my Shepard and I shall not want”
